I cannot think of a better way to kick off Pride month than frolicking around Yosemite with Jess & Nadezda on their wedding day.
I met these two last summer (actually, on the exact same date!) when I posted a model call in a local Facebook group for a couple to shoot with in Big Sur while I was passing through on a roadtrip. Who knew a year later we’d reunite in Yosemite for the most epic wedding?
It was my first time at Yosemite, but luckily the couple and their family know the park like the back of their hand, as it’s somewhat of a family tradition to visit every year.
We started the day with a sweet family ceremony at Swinging Bridge, complete with an intimate ring warming and concluding with a Russian tradition called karavay – followed by a toast & a picnic. Then we ventured off to take photos of the newlyweds at Bridalveil Fall (from afar), saw El Cap, Tunnel View, and more before dinner, a dip in the pool, and s’mores by the campfire.
I feel so incredibly grateful that this job of mine connects me with the kindest souls to celebrate & capture their love, joy and family traditions – and brings me to the coolest places on earth.
Take a peek at just a handful of soooo many photos from their day below –
