C & R tied the knot with their closest pals nearby, at the sweet lil’ Dearly Studio in Somerville’s Bow Market.
The two got ready at their home down the street in Somerville, and had a casual first look out on their front porch before heading off to get married! I incorporated personal touches into a few detail shots while they finished hair and makeup – the dress hanging next to a sweet grandparent wedding photo, and bouquet & rings on an antique carpet in their living room. I love a personalized touch.
Over at Bow Market, we snapped a few couples photos while passersby gave their congratulations (one of my favorite things about a city elopement!) Saturday nights can get busy at a market with shops and restaurants like this anyway, plus it was also their annual Oktoberfest featuring a brass band, food and drink specials, and twinkly lights. Some couples might be annoyed by the noise, but nothing was going to get C&R down!
Upstairs at Dearly, friends gathered and we dove into their ceremony. Two friends co-officiating, vows that made us laugh and cry, followed by a champagne toast and lots of hugs and love – the perfect night. We snapped a few more photos before they headed off to dinner, and that was a wrap!
Sometimes a fuller or more traditional wedding day is the vibe – and sometimes not! In addition to being a smaller space fit for an intimate crowd, I love that Dearly Studio offers shorter time options. C&R booked the space for an hour just for their ceremony, toast, and a few minutes to hang afterward, and it was absolutely perfect! If you’re in Boston (or visiting!) and looking for a fun & funky chapel vibe for your elopement, consider this your inspiration!
