Do it your own way: in short dresses and glamorous veils, with your closest people (and me!) standing by.

Nicole and Arealle reached out a couple months prior to inquire about capturing their winter elopement in NYC, and I was so excited to welcome them to town from Taiwan!
Ceremony time slots for the Manhattan City Clerk’s office open up three weeks prior to your intended date. Often, my couples will inquire with me before this time frame – meaning their date isn’t set in stone yet. Different photographers will have different rules of thumb for this situation, but I pencil the date into my calendar and once the couple has their ceremony time slot locked in, I send over their proposal so they can lock in my services, as well! As a full time wedding photographer, my schedule during the week is usually relaxed enough to be temporarily penciling weekday mornings/afternoons into my calendar in this way.
Despite a massive snow storm the week before, they made it to town and we took some beautiful shots in the City Clerk’s office with those classic green couches, and had their sweet, intimate ceremony with a couple pals and Nicole’s mom as witness (although I’m always happy to sign as your witness!)
Afterwards, we hopped on the subway to Central Park for some outdoor shots at Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge. These spots can get packed in the afternoons, especially in warm weather, but we nearly had the place to ourselves on this slushy February day.
Take a peek at their gallery below and consider this your sign to visit New York to tie the knot!

If you’re looking for a photographer and/or super 8 videographer to capture your elopement and help navigate the city and all it has to offer, I’d love to guide ya!
