H&A rang in the new year by tying the knot at this cozy, brewery-adjacent event space in upstate New York with all their loved ones.
The getting ready space upstairs at Brown’s, called The Nest, is lovely! It’s super spacious and well lit – so basically a wedding photographer’s dream. No clutter and dim lighting over here!
There are also two hotels within walking distance, which is where this groom got ready with his friends. Also great to note if you have a lot of guests traveling in for your big day! No driving at the end of the night necessary.
H & A did their first look on the back patio at Brown’s, overlooking the river – and HELLO, that sunset! It was actually raining and gloomy most of the day, but the clouds cleared just in time for the most beautiful sunset first look and portraits.
Heading inside, the upstairs loft at Brown’s has some lovely windows facing the sunset and the river. Some couples opt to do their first look up there, but on this unseasonably warm day, H&A chose to head outside for a bit.
There are also lots of vintage-esque beer signs and logos painted on the brick walls throughout the venue. I love that cozy, old New England vibe.
Honestly, I love an indoor ceremony. Especially one like this, with insane amounts of twinkling lights! Brown’s has the option of a white curtain backdrop, or a black one for a more moody vibe. There’s also a balcony to get some wider aerial shots of the ceremony.
In true Jewish fashion, H&A stood beneath a beautiful chuppah – but this one was extra special as a close friend actually built it for them himself!
Snacks on snacks on snacks in the lobby bar, while everyone mingled and the ceremony space was expertly flipped into these gorgeous dinner tables.
H&A entered the reception and went straight into their first dance & speeches from loved ones before dinner came out. Then while quietly cutting their cake, the dance floor opened up – and it did NOT disappoint! As my second ever New Year’s Eve wedding, I expected nothing less than a super hype dance floor, and that is exactly what I got.
Around 11pm, late night pizza came out and so did the NYE accessories – headbands, hats and noisemakers. At midnight, everyone gathered in the middle of the dance floor for an epic balloon drop. Now THAT’S how you do a New Year’s wedding.
So. Damn. Fun.
