K & P celebrated their summer wedding with family and friends at this gorgeous waterfront venue on a perfect summer Sunday evening.

Getting ready at the Hotel Viking

Katie and the girls got ready at Newport’s iconic Hotel Viking, just a few minutes from the venue. Their pretty suite with framed paintings and a retro clawfoot tub made the perfect location for hair & makeup and champagne.

First look in the secret garden

Katie had a first look with her father and then with her almost-husband Pat in the venue’s private garden. Castle Hill has a variety of beautiful locations, particularly by the water, but we saved a few of those iconic spots for sunset.

Sometimes vows take place during the ceremony. Sometimes they’re reserved for a private moment just for the couple’s ears only (and mine, of course) – which is what K & P chose to do in the garden, with a game of rock-paper-scissors to see who went first.

Castle Hill’s permanent tent structure combined with epic florals from The Dirt Empress brought the garden party vision to life, and the floral arbor for the ceremony was to die for.

Portraits

From jittery pre-ceremony moments in the garden to a ‘just married’ run down to Grace Kelly Beach, it was seriously the perfect day for a Castle Hill Inn wedding.

I love to send a preview gallery to my couples the morning after their wedding, but I was extra delighted to get these shots over to K & P as soon as possible!
